Venus, Morning Star

​This is a portrait of a dear friend of mine and fellow artist who brought me out of a hard time, who brought me light. The electromagnetic spectrum dances throughout the painting and culminates into a rainbow at the crest of her head. She is the light personified and reveals the connection between the cone shaped cells in our eyes and the pigments we need to recreate reality.
